Drew M. Taylor is the founder of the Law Offices of Drew M. Taylor, P.C., a Pasadena‑based practice dedicated to California state and local tax matters, with a particular focus on property tax litigation. His approach is rooted in nearly two decades of specialized experience, including nearly a decade representing the Los Angeles County Assessor and Treasurer & Tax Collector. Drew represents residential, commercial, and institutional property owners in complex tax disputes across California, offering strategic, experience‑driven advocacy informed by deep knowledge of county and state tax systems.
Before establishing his firm, Drew served as a Deputy County Counsel in the Office of the Los Angeles County Counsel from 2017 to 2026, one of the nation’s largest municipal civil law offices. He acted as General Counsel to the Treasurer & Tax Collector and previously represented the County Assessor in high‑stakes litigation involving hotels and other major commercial properties. During that time, he obtained several published Court of Appeal decisions and has spoken at various tax conferences all across California.
Drew’s earlier career includes serving as Vice President and Trial Counsel at Fidelity National Law Group, Assistant Attorney General for the Michigan Department of Attorney General, and as a Tax Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law—where he spent two years as a Law Clerk to the Michigan Tax Tribunal—and holds a B.S. in International Politics from Georgetown University. While at Georgetown, Drew studied abroad at the University of Vienna.
Drew is happily married to his wife, Julie, and they are blessed with three wonderful and fun-loving kids.
